b2emedia had the pleasure of working with Kit Tyler and the Environmental Legacy Project team when we interviewed William McDonough in San Francisco. It’s hard to say what William McDonough is “known for” because there’s no one thing to mention.
What happens when three native San Franciscan’s gather at the King George Hotel Ballroom on Russian Hill, on a cool, foggy fall day to assist Kit Tyler in an interview for the Legacy Project’s upcoming public television documentary “Becoming California”? Well, when one of the three is Dr. Kevin Starr and the other two are from the b2emedia team; let’s just say there was plenty of lively conversation and sharing of San Francisco stories, mixed with absolute awe on the part of the b2emedia team. We were honored to be in Dr. Starr’s presence. He is a magnificent Californian. He is a great man.
We’re all hobbits now! Maybe you’ve noticed the growth of efforts and pushes and movements and (heaven help us!) causes, that (back in the day) our grandparents just called the way we live or simply knew as how to do it. Eat local … work hard … build community. Our folks called that … life. But hey, maybe it gets our attention, right? We’ve forgotten the ancient wisdom, and all of us have to get that push-tug
b2e worked with Sacramento Municipal Utility District and ABC’s Sacramento affiliate News10.net to produce a campaign that introduces Sacramento County to how they could better conserve energy by following basic rules in their home and work. This project was called “Flex Your Power” which was a on-air and online campaign.
b2e has worked with Gannett Inc. in redeveloping their 22 broadcast websites. From the ground up b2e worked with teams of designers, developer, news directors, engineers, IT, account executives and third party vendors to update all aspects of delivering news and information to millions of on-air and online users.
b2emedia is working with The California Environmental Legacy Project (http:www.calegacy.org), a $3 million NSF funded grant, which is a new kind of educational media project.
Earth Day 2012: The Electric Car is Here! On April 22, 2012, the b2emedia team spent the afternoon at Earth Day, Sacramento at Southside Park. This year’s slogan: “ We want you to be the solution. Cultivate a sustainable future”!, was celebrated by over 6,000 people under a bright blue sky. Along with great entertainment, actives and delicious food, there were many diverse businesses represented: non-profit, cultural and government agencies, health and environmental organizations. Living sustainably is not only possible, it is critical and practical and lovely and healthy and yummy too!
